Taylor Swift honours father with generous donation in his name
The ‘Fate of Ophelia’ singer gives a heartfelt gift to her father
Taylor Swift recently honoured her father, Scott Swift, with a generous donation in his name.
The 36-year-old billionaire, as reported by Daily Mail, donated $1 million to the American Heart Association under her 73-year-old father’s name.
The organisation announced her generosity on their Instagram, writing, "Taylor's contribution enables the advancement of ongoing scientific research, stronger prevention and treatment efforts, and expanded access to life-saving care for every community."
It comes after Swift’s father underwent quintuple bypass surgery in June 2025 in which his "five hard blockages" were removed.
In August, during her appearance at fiancé Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, the Anti Hero hitmaker admired the fact that her father always had healthy EKGs at his annual physicals, but it was a resting stress test that alerted him to the problem.
The Elizabeth Taylor songstress, who is 14-time Grammy winner, recalled, "He's been telling all his friends [they] need to get the stress test because that's what's actually preventative.
"If you can find that earlier, you don't have to have a bypass surgery. You can sort out those blockages with stents and things that are a lot less invasive.”
Taylor Swift's immediate family consists of her parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift and her younger brother, Austin Swift.
