Suspect’s disturbing messages minutes after Charlie Kirk shooting revealed

Tyler Robinson who is accused of killing Charlie Kirk allegedly sent chilling online messages about the shooting less than two hours after it happened.

Robinson is accused of opening fire during Kirk’s outdoor Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University, where the right-wing commentator later died from his injuries.

According to The Washington Post, the suspect had spent the early part of the morning exchanging casual messages with a friend on Discord. Prosecutors say he later travelled to the campus where Kirk was due to speak.

Around eighty minutes after the shooting, Robinson allegedly messaged the same friend, writing: “you see this news?????”

He then added: “utah gets a national headline for the first time in a while and it’s someone sliming charlie kirk.”

Further messages reportedly followed, including: “no like an hour ago,” and “he’s reported dead, and the footage looks BAD,” according to digital records reviewed by the outlet.

Authorities allege Robinson fled the scene but was later arrested after a family member contacted police. He has been charged with murder and other offences, People reports.

Robinson appeared in court earlier this month, where lawyers debated media access to future proceedings. Prosecutors have confirmed they plan to seek the death penalty in the case.
