Anne Hathaway insisted that the producers of The Devil Wears Prada 2 avoid including models that appeared "alarmingly thin."

As shared by Meryl Streep in a discussion with Harper’s Bazaar, she and Hathaway made this observation during a fashion show at Milan Fashion Week.

“I was taken aback not just by the beauty and youth—everyone looks young to me—but by how shockingly thin the models were,” Streep expressed to the publication.

“I believed this issue was dealt with long ago. Annie noticed it too, and she went straight to the producers, ensuring that the models featured in our film wouldn’t look so skeletal! She’s truly commendable.”

The filming of the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada generated great enthusiasm among fans in New York City who eagerly sought a glimpse of Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs.

“Despite knowing the influence of the original film two decades back, none of us anticipated the overwhelming wave of goodwill and excitement that came our way,” Streep remarked.

“We had to set up police barriers and manage the large crowds. Fans arrived in buses, and paparazzi were everywhere, with one even interfering with the filming, causing a disturbance among the crew. Annie maintained her composure, but I was quite thrown off.”
