Teen tragically shot in fatal 'quick draw' gun game: Police
A 24-year-old individual from Pennsylvania is allegedly involved in the death of a friend
A 24-year-old individual from Pennsylvania is allegedly involved in the death of a friend, reportedly shooting the 19-year-old during a game the two reportedly termed as "quick draw."
Authorities took Samuel Rolando Colon into custody on Monday, charging him with one count of criminal homicide, one count of aggravated assault, and six counts of reckless endangerment related to the 2025 death of Ti'Shaun Singleton, officials stated.
According to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office, on November 8, at 4:37pm, police and medics rushed to a residence on Edward Lane in Catasauqua after reports of a gunshot incident.
Upon reaching the location, responders located an adult male, later identified as Singleton, with a gunshot wound to his chest. The paramedics declared Singleton dead at the location.
The Lehigh County Coroner later confirmed the death as a homicide.
According to detectives, nearby surveillance footage recorded the chaotic moments following the shooting, allegedly showing people moving Singleton's body.
"The investigation reviewed video from nearby that revealed two individuals in the Edward Lane residence dragging the victim out and several fleeing the home," the release mentioned. "One person eventually carried the victim back inside."
Witnesses reportedly informed officials that Colon shot Singleton amidst a "game" involving firearms.
"Unnamed witnesses said the victim and Colon engaged in a game they called 'quick draw,' with both carrying firearms," prosecutors stated in the release. "As they continued the game, Colon fired a shot that killed the victim."
Authorities have not provided further information regarding the specifics of the "quick draw" game.
Officials reported a child and several more people were present in or near the residence during the shooting.
Colon is presently detained in the Lehigh County Jail without a bond option.
The Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and Catasauqua police, with support from the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office, are investigating the case.
Colon awaits a preliminary hearing where a judge will decide if the charges advance to trial.
