Kourtney Kardashian shares emotional message for beloved grandma MJ

Kourtney Kardashian Barker has shared an emotional tribute to her late grandmother, Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon, marking what would have been her 92nd birthday just days after the beloved family matriarch's passing.

The Poosh founder took to Instagram on Sunday to reflect on the special bond she shared with MJ, describing her grandmother as one of the most important people in her life.

"My grandma MJ... there's not even the right words I could even use to tell anyone about her," Kourtney wrote. 

"It's Halloween, it's Christmas, it's the ocean, it's tea and gingerbread cookies and just the warmest feeling in the world."

The reality star said she was grateful to have had MJ in her life for 47 years, thanking her for her unconditional love and for always being a "safe place."

Kourtney's photo carousel featured cherished memories spanning decades, from childhood snapshots and family gatherings to moments with husband Travis Barker and MJ's great-grandchildren. 

One image also showed a birthday cake honouring MJ, while another captured Kourtney holding her grandmother's hand during her final days.

Family members flooded the comments with messages of love. Kim Kardashian called her "Sweet grandma MJ," while Khloé Kardashian described the pair as "the sweetest." 

Travis Barker also paid tribute, writing, "I love you. Happy Heavenly Birthday to your beautiful MJ."

Kris Jenner, who announced her mother's death on July 16 at the age of 91, also honoured MJ with an emotional birthday post, calling her the heart of the Kardashian-Jenner family and thanking her for the love, wisdom and values she passed down through generations.
