Penn Badley’s sister-in-law Jemima Kirke has spoken up about the actor’s stance on intimate scenes in his Netflix series You.

 Badley, 36, previously revealed in an interview that he demanded the show runner for fewer intimate scenes and later explained his stance saying “Fidelity, in every relationship, and especially my marriage, is important to me.”

The actor talked about the matter with Kirke in recent episode of his podcast Podcrushed.

During the conversation, the Gossip Girl star asked Kirke for her opinion on Badgley’s stance on filming intimate scenes.

“I’m not saying I agree with it. But I do understand,” she told. “I’ve never dated an actor but I’d imagine it would be difficult to see or know that your spouse is being physical with someone else.

“But it’s probably just as hard to know they’re playing a character who is falling madly in love with another character.”

The Girls star further added, “That’s not to say I will partake in that view of things, because to be honest it’s never really happened to me. I’ve never done a sex or a love scene and come home and not loved, or been as attracted to my spouse.”

Badgley tied knot to Kirke's sister Domino in 2017.
