Bryan Cranston paid a moving tribute to the late actor Mark Margolis, his co-star in the Breaking Bad hit series.

Taking on Instagram, Bryan, 67, recalled working with Margolis, who Hector Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

The Academy Award-nominated star shared the picture from the set of Your Honor and Breaking Bad. He penned a heartfelt caption for Mark, “I am very saddened today to learn of a friend’s passing.”

He added, "Mark Margolis was a really good actor and a lovely human being. Fun and engaging off the set, and (in the case of Breaking Bad and Your Honor) intimidating and frightening on set. His quiet energy belied his mischievous nature and curious mind… And he loved sharing a good joke.”

The Why Him alum also noted, “I miss him already. Rest now, Mark and thank you for your friendship and your exceptional body of work.”



Bob Odenkirk, who played Saul Goodman in the Breaking Bad universe, also expressed his sorrow on X formerly known as Twitter.

The Nobody Star tweeted, “A powerful screen presence! Mark made me laugh in the van on the way to set with his jokes and comments and I only hope I have half his energy and focus when “Action” was shouted. Thank you, Mark, and condolences to your family.”

Mark Margolis, best known in the role of Hector Salamanca, passed away in a New York City hospital at the age of 83 on Thursday after a short illness, his son announced in a statement.

The late actor is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Jacqueline, and his son.
