Liam Gallagher addresses fan reaction to his Oasis Tour night out
Liam Gallagher explains sobriety slip after Oasis Tour finale
Liam Gallagher had sparked renewed attention from fans after a recent online exchange led him to clarify a personal moment that unfolded at the end of Oasis’ comeback tour.
The 53-year-old rocker, who fronts the reunited band alongside brother Noel Gallagher, wrapped the Oasis Live ’25 Tour in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 23.
After months of avoiding alcohol and drugs, Liam admitted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he celebrated the final night by “having a few” drinks.
His admission came after a fan joked that “a week more of touring and he would have ended in a psychiatric hospital.”
To which Liam replied, “Why’s that then,” and another user asked whether he had “gotten off your coconut yet.” He responded that he “had a few beers,” but “wasn’t feeling it.”
“I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation,” the Live Forever crooner added.
The English singer later explained that he already planned to “have a few” before the final show.
When asked if he’d gotten “blitzed” afterward, he clarified, “I didn’t you know I had 5 lagers and got my head down I couldn’t be arsed.” He also told a fan he is “enjoying being sober.” (Sic)
A day after the tour ended, the Wonderwall singer shared a message to Oasis fans, “To all OASIS fans around the world young middle aged old as f--- THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart… without you [we’re] just a good band with you [we’re] the BEST BAND ON THE F------ PLANET LG x.” (Sic)
Liam Gallagher had previously revealed that he quit alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs for the tour, motivated by the band and its fans.
