Jenna Ortega has joined the list of celebrities offering their insights on the growing concerns surrounding artificial intelligence.

On Saturday, November 29, during the jury press conference at the Marrakech Film Festival, the 23-year-old actress discussed the widely debated topic of the technology, admitting it feels like Pandora’s box has “opened up,” per Deadline.

Ortega predicts audiences will eventually grow tired of AI, as it lacks the ability to capture genuine human traits.

“There is really charm in the human condition… as humans, we have a tendency to always, when you look back at history, take things too far,” she said.

The Wednesday star continued, “It’s very easy to be terrified. I know I am in times like this of deep uncertainty. And it kind of feels like we’ve opened up a Pandora’s Box."

“There’s certain things that AI just isn’t able to replicate, and yes, there’s beautiful, difficult mistakes, and a computer can’t do that. A computer has no soul, and it’s nothing that we would ever be able to resonate with or relate to,” she added.

Toward the end, Jenna noted that artificial intelligence may eventually turn into nothing more than “mental junk food” for viewers.
