Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo’s shocking reaction to second Globe nominations

Ariana Grande recently expressed her gratitude after receiving second Golden Globe nomination on December 8.

The 32-year-old actress turns to Instagram Stories on Monday and shared her true feelings after she was nominated for Best Performance by a female star in a supporting role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good movie.

“Thank you so much @goldenglobes for this tremendous honour and for recognising this performance a second time,” wrote Ariana in the caption shortly after the nominations were announced.

Don’t Look Up actress added, “I'm so moved and grateful, there are truly no words. Thank you, thank you!”

Besides Ariana, Cynthia Erivo also earned second Golden Globe nomination for the Wicked movies.

Not only that, but she also became the first Black woman to earn two lead actress nominations in the comedy or musical category.

“WOW!!! What lovely news to receive live from the rehearsal room of @draculawestend. It's an honour to be nominated once again for this movie,” said the 38-year-old on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

Reflecting on her role as Elphaba in Wicked: For Good movie, Cynthia mentioned, “It has been a beautiful journey to play this character, and this is the cherry on top.”

The actress also gave credit to her director and producer in the caption, adding, “This entire journey could never have been possible without the wonderful leadership of my brother and glorious director @jonmchu and producer extraordinaire everyone could only wish for, Marc Platt.”

Meanwhile, both Wicked stars also congratulated each other on social media over Golden Globe nominations.
