Emilia Clarke, Haley Lu Richardson go undercover in Peacock’s thrilling new series ‘Ponies’
The 'Ponies' will premiere on Peacock on Jan 15, 2026
Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson starred in Peacock's upcoming spy thriller Ponies.
The series casts Clarke as Bea and Richardson as Twila, two American women whose lives were spoiled after their husbands, CIA agents operating undercover at the US Embassy and were killed in a mysterious plane crash.
By following the causality, they both took the position of their late husbands and went deep into Soviet-era Moscow as unlikely intelligence operatives.
The trailer suggested their identity as their greatest weapon.
“No one would ever suspect anything of us,” Twila noted, showing that being overlooked actually helps them move freely without drawing attention.
Moreover, Adrian Lester co-stars as Dane, a seasoned CIA operative who recruits and trains the women, warning that the job “demands sacrifice.”
The trailer also displayed their personal lives beyond espionage, as both women attempt to overcome the situation after being widowed and explore new relationships while living double identities.
The Ponies will premiere on Peacock on January 15, 2026.
