Yungblud says Robbie Williams’ letter helped him after Ozzy Osbourne’s death
Yungblud says Robbie doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves
Yungblud is opening up about a meaningful moment of support from Robbie Williams during what he describes as an overwhelming year in the spotlight.
The singer, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, revealed that Robbie personally reached out with a handwritten letter after watching his rapid rise in recent months, according to the Daily Star.
Yungblud’s profile soared following high-profile appearances, including a tribute performance at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show and a spot alongside Aerosmith at the VMAs. Soon after, he was forced to cancel the rest of his tour on doctor’s orders.
“He wrote me this letter when it really needed to come,” Yungblud shared. “He related himself to me, saying he knew what it was like to be a 28-year-old trying to figure out who you are while dealing with a million opinions about what you could or could never be.”
He also praised Robbie’s insight, saying the pop icon doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves.
“People don’t give Robbie the credit for his mind and the way he sees things,” he said.
Despite the challenges, Yungblud recently released his Grammy-nominated album Idols - The LP, calling it a project he wishes he had made years earlier.
