Rob Reiner's daughter 'fled' home following gruesome discovery: What really happened
Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer were killed by their son Nick Reiner on December 14
Romy Reiner, the daughter of Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner, was reportedly unaware that her mother was also dead inside the family’s Los Angeles home when she discovered her father’s body.
The New York Times reported that the 27-year-old arrived at Rob and Michele’s Brentwood residence on the afternoon of Sunday, December 14, after being contacted by a massage therapist who was unable to access the property.
Upon entering the home and finding her father deceased, Romy allegedly “fled” the residence without knowing that her mother Michele was also dead inside, the outlet reported.
A source close to the family told the Times that Romy later learned of her mother’s death from a paramedic.
PEOPLE had previously reported that Romy discovered her father’s body hours before her brother Nick was located by police and arrested near the University of Southern California campus later that evening. Nick was not home at the time Romy made the discovery.
Moreover, on Tuesday, December 16, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Nick was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special allegation of using a knife and if convicted, he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
For the unversed, Romy is the youngest of Rob and Michele’s three children, which also include brothers Nick and Jake.
