Rob Reiner and Michele’s son Nick Reiner has been charged with first-degree murder of his parents
New details have emerged regarding Nick Reiner, the middle child of the Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, who has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the deaths of his parents.
A source close to the family told PEOPLE, "Nick wanted to live a life that didn't exist."
The confidant dished out, “He was entitled. He didn’t want to do any work but expected to be loved the way the rest of his family was."
On Sunday, December 14, the sitcom actor-turned-director and his wife were found dead inside their home in Los Angeles.
Their 32-year-old middle child Nick, who'd been in and out of rehab over 18 times by the age of 22, was arrested later that night.
For the unversed, Rob Reiner and Michele have three children; their other two children, 34-year-old son Jake, and 28-year-old daughter Romy, spoke out about the loss of their parents in a statement shared December 17.
"Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day," the siblings said, adding, "They weren't just our parents; they were our best friends."
