Dave Chappelle surprised fans on Friday night by announcing the release of a brand new Netflix comedy special.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedian revealed the news ahead of the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing match, telling viewers that his latest special, Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable…. would begin streaming immediately after the fight concluded.

“I wanted to shout out my hometown Washington D.C., and thank everybody that came out in October to support me at that show,” Chappelle said ahead of the sporting event.

The Closer actor added, “I just want you to know, that show will be streaming on Netflix tonight. After the fight, my new special drops, and I hope you love it. Thank you very much. Ah chicka chicka.”

According to Netflix, the logline for the special reads, “Facing a world gone sideways, comedy icon Dave Chappelle delivers bold truths and potent punchlines in this no-holds-barred special.”

Moreover, Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable… continues the Half Baked star’s long-running partnership with the streamer.

He has previously released several acclaimed specials on Netflix, including The Age of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation, The Closer and The Dreamer.

Over the past year, Dave Chappelle has remained highly visible, co headlining the Still Talkin’ That Sh*t Tour with Killer Mike, hosting the first Saturday Night Live episode of 2025 for the fourth time and performing at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia.
