Timothée Chalamet-starrer ‘Marty Supreme’ sets major record ahead of release
Timothée Chalamet will appear in Marty Supreme on December 25
Timothée Chalamet is set to appear in the much-buzzed about Marty Supreme on Christmas Day, but the film has already stunned by setting a major record.
Due to the highly anticipated title’s widespread marketing campaign, which included Chalamet’s eccentric social media antics, Marty Supreme has achieved the highest ever presales for an A24 film.
According to Deadline, “The majority of presale buyers are younger, 17–24 years,” with the film’s ticket sales reaching more than 70% overall.
The film will get a limited release in theatres this weekend, with six venues in total, while it is set to go wide on Christmas with shows across an estimated 2,500 cinema screens.
Josh Safdie directs Chalamet in the film alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, and a number of other actors.
Marty Supreme has generated additional buzz through the release of its limited-edition merchandise, which includes sweatshirts and hoodies, already worn by the likes of Tom Brady, Lamine Yamal, Kid Cudi, and more.
Timothée Chalamet will appear in the film out on December 25, having already earned a Golden Globe nomination for his leading performance, among other accolades.
