Rob Reiner and wife Michele's bodies finally handed over to family
Rob Reiner and wife Michele were brutally murdered on December 14
Hollywood director, Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner's bodies have finally been released to their family.
As reported by Daily Mail, the Reiners' loved ones will now have to wait for the coroner's report, which is expected within 90 days after the release of the bodies and the autopsy results.
The Reiners' friends already held a private memorial function for the couple on Monday, December 15, in a Jewish tradition, which means a funeral should be held within one day of the death itself.
The Reiners, who were parents to three children, were brutally murdered in their own home in Los Angeles.
Their 32-year-old middle son, Nick Reiner, has been charged with the double homicide.
He has a history of substance abuse and mental health issues and was living with his parents at the time.
He was arrested shortly after his parents’ bodies were discovered by their daughter.
Nick Reiner is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
