Quentin Tarantino's first play is gearing up for an anticipated early 2027 premiere in London, possibly in the West End.

Last summer, Tarantino mentioned he was developing a play, noting: “The script is finished. It's definitely the project I'm pursuing. We'll begin on it in January… It's likely going to occupy around one and a half to two years of my life.”

The UK’s Daily Mail reported Friday that the play would be a “traditional British farce” reminiscent of the 1980’s Michael Frayn masterpiece, Noises Off.

Insider information suggests that's fairly accurate, and the expected premiere is set for January 2027. Casting details remain under wraps. Tarantino will both write and direct.

David Fincher's The Adventures of Cliff Booth, with a script by Tarantino, will be released on Netflix later this year.

Industry analysts are hopeful it might debut at the Venice Film Festival, where Fincher and Netflix celebrated The Killer three years ago.

As previously reported by us in spring '24, Tarantino decided not to proceed with making The Movie Critic as his last film.

The Pulp Fiction director has pledged to create ten movies during his career and is still considering what to select as his tenth and supposedly final film.

We also disclosed that Tarantino recently accepted his most significant acting role in years by joining the drama Only What We Carry.
