Alix Earle has opened up about a challenging period in her life, reflecting on the emotions she experienced when her podcast went on pause last year.

In a March 23 TikTok video, the influencer shared flashbacks to early 2025, around the time she temporarily halted her Hot Mess with Alix Earle podcast.

“I just felt pretty lost, unsure of what was going on,” Earle said, reflecting on the moment. “And now I look back at that time and I’m like, I forgot that that was even a thing I went through. So it’s really crazy what time can do.”

Earle, who had spent the week in Florida watching her younger sister Penelope compete in a horse jumping competition, spoke candidly about juggling personal life and professional uncertainty.

“We were watching my sister compete last year, and then I was in the corner on the phone with lawyers trying to figure out what’s going on,” she recalled.

The podcast, which Earle launched under the Unwell Network in 2023, was reportedly dropped in February 2025 amid rumors of a feud with media mogul Alex Cooper.

Cooper addressed the speculation on TikTok, clarifying that the hiatus was not due to Unwell. Earle later told the Wall Street Journal the situation was “a little bit of a hot mess.”

During the TikTok, Earle also looked back on her first ventures into vlogging, explaining: “Basically, it was kind of, like, in a mode of, ‘What am I doing?’ I really wanted to try out vlogs, so I’m pretty sure this vlog and then Miami Music Week was my first vlog I put out.”

Earle’s reflection also touched on her current mental health. “I’ve been feeling a lot better and a lot more like myself again, just at least compared to last month,” she said.

Looking ahead, Earle teased her latest project through a new social media account, @wtfisalixdoing, which has already gained over 400,000 followers in five days.

Friends and family, including Val Chmerkovskiy and her stepmom Ashley Dupré, helped promote the mysterious launch with unboxing videos and PR teases.

“If anyone else is going through a weird time, this too shall pass,” Earle said. “We have a really big week ahead. Everyone will know what the f--- Alex is doing.”
