How to prepare viral honey coffee lemonade for refreshing summer afternoons
Combining bold caffeine with citrusy lemon creates a perfect chilled beverage for the heat
Honey coffee lemonade has quickly become the viral summer drink that many are eager to try, blending two distinct favourites into one chilled glass.
Fresh lemon provides a bright, citrusy profile, while honey adds a gentle sweetness without the heaviness of refined sugars.
Coffee contributes more than just a bold aroma; its natural caffeine helps improve alertness and reduce the lethargy often associated with extreme heat.
Ingredients
The recipe requires 1 cup chilled brewed coffee, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 1/2 cup cold water, 1 cup ice cubes, 2 lemon slices, and 4–5 mint leaves. Per serving, the drink contains approximately 55–65 kcal and 10–12 mg of Vitamin C.
Method of preparation
This refreshing homemade beverage takes only a few minutes to assemble once the coffee has been prepared. The steps are as follows:
- Brew one cup of coffee and let it cool completely.
- Add honey and fresh lemon juice to a glass or small bowl.
- Stir for a minute until the honey dissolves properly into the lemon juice.
- Take a tall serving glass and add the ice cubes.
- Pour in the cold water, then add the honey and lemon mixture over the ice.
- Stir gently so the flavours spread evenly through the glass.
- Slowly pour the chilled coffee over the lemonade mixture.
- Stir once before drinking so the coffee, lemon, and honey combine.
- Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
According to ICMR guidelines, these nutrients are beneficial during summer as potassium helps maintain fluid balance after sweating, while the low-calorie count ensures the drink remains light and easy to enjoy.
