Eating healthy is often easier said than done, particularly when balancing a busy lifestyle. Wellness coach and content creator Reema Duggal shared a comprehensive seven-day summer diet plan to address the challenges of meal rotation and nutritional balance.

By providing a structured variety of dishes, this plan helps individuals avoid the diet boredom that often leads to inconsistency. Each day begins with a functional beverage designed to aid digestion, followed by nutrient-dense meals.

The Weekly Menu and Ingredients

The plan focuses on light, seasonal ingredients like bottle gourd and cooling buttermilk:

  • Monday: Cumin water; Mung bean savoury pancakes; Bottle gourd curry with flatbread; Scrambled cottage cheese.
  • Tuesday: Lemon water; Flattened rice with vegetables; Brown rice with kidney beans; Stir-fry with tofu.
  • Wednesday: Fennel water; Oats savoury pancakes; Mixed vegetables with yoghurt; Bottle gourd and bengal gram curry.
  • Thursday: Chia seed water; Chickpea flour pancakes with cottage cheese; Quinoa vegetable pilaf with spiced yoghurt; Spinach and cottage cheese.
  • Friday: Fenugreek water; Sprouts salad; Apple gourd curry with lentils; Grilled cottage cheese.
  • Saturday: Lemon honey water; Semolina with vegetables; Vegetable lentil mash with half a teaspoon of clarified butter; Stir-fried vegetables.
  • Sunday: Detox water; Cottage cheese sandwich; Cumin rice with curry; Choice of soup.

Maintaining Consistency

Consistency is maintained by incorporating diverse snacks like roasted chickpeas, fox nuts, and fresh fruits such as papaya or watermelon.

These choices ensure that the body receives a steady supply of vitamins and minerals while keeping the palate engaged.

Reema Duggal emphasises that small adjustments, such as using less oil or adding specific seeds, make a significant difference in long-term wellness without sacrificing traditional flavours.
