Kate Middleton's stunning makeover in fitted mini dress for Australian Easter trip

Throughout her years in the spotlight, the Princess of Wales has traditionally celebrated Easter Sunday by attending services with the royal family at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. 

Exceptions to this pattern include 2014, when she and Prince William observed Easter Sunday while traveling in Australia.

Diverging from her usual routine, Kate, at 44, attended a church service at St Andrew's Cathedral in Sydney during her and William's three-week royal visit to New Zealand and Australia. 

Taking advantage of the milder weather, the former Duchess of Cambridge wore a stylish mini coat dress from Alexander McQueen.

The sophisticated funnel-neck garment boasted a sleek fit, with sleeves ending just above the wrists, making room for her Cartier watch. 

Kate paired it with a fitted dress of the same soft grey tone and completed her look with a custom-made slate grey Jane Taylor percher hat.

The hat was elegantly positioned over her chic half-up hairstyle, accentuating her dazzling aquamarine earrings. 

For her makeup, the royal chose a bolder eye look than she typically wears now, with smoky eyes, rosy cheeks, and a soft peach lip shade.

The choice of color in Kate's attire caught the attention of Leanne Jones, a stylist and color specialist trained at the London College of Style.

"These soft, pastel hues harmonise naturally with Kate's 'summer' color palette. The dove grey was a perfect spring choice, with subtle lilac and blue undertones lending a seasonal feel," she explains.

"The look's sophistication was enhanced by smart color-blocking, with her shoes and hat perfectly matching, which is a simple yet impactful styling strategy that results in a polished, cohesive look.

"This is a technique Kate has refined over the years, often opting for similar pastel blue, coordinated outfits for her Easter appearances in both 2022 and 2023."
