Madison Marilla and Tyler White are giving fans a glimpse into the next chapter of their love story.

The couple, who met on season 3 of Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum, got engaged during season 4 in a heartwarming moment that recreated the location of their very first date.

After keeping their engagement a secret for months, Madison and Tyler opened up to People about the special day.

“I felt like the puzzle was coming together,” Madison said, recalling the moment Tyler proposed.

“Earlier in the season, when Tyler pulled my parents aside for a long time, I kind of got a feeling he was asking for their blessing.

And when he said in Nashville, ‘We'll do more trips forever and ever,’ I just knew the pieces were coming together.”

Tyler described the proposal as “very emotional,” admitting he “couldn’t help but cry” as Madison read the letter he had written to her. “I’m getting emotional just thinking about it right now,” he added.

While the couple is not rushing into wedding planning, they are focused on building their life together.

Madison explained, “We're gonna wait until the timing is right.” Tyler added, “Yes. We’re definitely waiting on timing, getting through the speed bumps, and reaching a point where I can provide for her. Plus, keeping it secret for television made things a little tricky.”

Over the past year, the couple has taken steps to strengthen their relationship. Madison recently relocated to Plant City, Florida, to live just a few miles from Tyler.

The pair enjoys daily routines together, including church attendance, regular dates, and trips to Busch Gardens.

Since meeting on the show, Madison says Tyler has helped her grow emotionally.

“As someone who struggles with developmental and emotional delays, it has been very good for me to be with a guy who is an old soul and emotionally mature,” she shared.

“He’s helped me grow into more age-appropriate interests. For example, I never thought I’d get into historical documentaries.”
