Cruz Beckham has shared a heartfelt tribute to his father, David Beckham, as the football icon prepares to mark a landmark moment for his club, Inter Miami CF.
Taking to Instagram on April 4, Cruz, 21, expressed pride and admiration for his father ahead of the club’s inaugural match at its newly built stadium.
“Dad I really couldn’t be more proud of you… you have inspired me every day to be a better human and have consistently proved that as long as you work as hard as you can you can achieve your dreams,” Cruz wrote, adding, “today you have made history once again.”
The post included a series of images, featuring Cruz seated at what appeared to be a designated spot for Lionel Messi, alongside sweeping views of the club’s state-of-the-art venue.
The occasion marks a significant milestone for Inter Miami CF, co-owned by Beckham, as the team prepares to play its first match at the newly constructed stadium in Miami.
Moreover, the opening fixture, scheduled for Saturday night, will see the reigning MLS Cup champions face off against Austin FC.
The 26,700-seat stadium, built at an estimated cost of $350 million, is located at Miami Freedom Park near Miami International Airport. The move signals the club’s long-awaited transition into Miami proper after spending its initial seasons playing in Fort Lauderdale.
