Lily Collins gets emotional as brother Nic Collins announces engagement to longtime Love
The 'Emily in Paris' star celebrated her younger brother’s engagement, saying she has always considered his fiancée a sister
Lily Collins is celebrating a special milestone in her family as her younger brother, Nic Collins, announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Isabella Cristina Serralles.
The Emily in Paris actress, 37, shared her excitement after Nic, 25, revealed on Friday, July 10, that he had proposed to Serralles after nearly a decade together.
Nic shared the happy news on Instagram with a romantic photo of Serralles showing off her diamond ring while placing her hand against his face. He captioned the post, “Forever.”
“Words will never do justice to express how much I love you,” Nic wrote in the comments. “Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world for almost 10 years. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and call you my wife. Here’s to forever my love.”
Serralles responded with a heartfelt message of her own, writing, “I’ve loved you ever since I was 16 years old. What we have is magical, it’s always been you. My best friend in the world, let’s do this forever!! I can’t wait to marry you baby.”
Lily quickly joined the celebrations, leaving an emotional comment on her brother’s announcement.
“I’m crying AGAIN,” she wrote. “I couldn’t love you guys more and Isabella, you’ve always been my sister and now it gets to be official. You both are so lucky. We love you beyond.”
Lily’s siblings also congratulated the couple. Her brother Matthew Collins, 21, wrote, “So proud of you guys seems I’m stuck with the both of you but that ain’t so bad,” while sister Joely Collins, 53, shared her happiness, writing, “YES!! You two were made for each other and I couldn’t be happier for you!! Best news ever!!”
Nic and Serralles have frequently shared their love for each other online throughout their relationship. In March, Nic celebrated his future wife’s birthday with a touching tribute, calling her “the most kind, loving, and beautiful woman” he could ask for.
Lily also reacted to that post at the time, writing, “I’m not crying you’re crying. Happy birthday to the best isabellaserralles.”
The couple celebrated their ninth anniversary in November, with Nic previously writing, “I love sharing my life with you. I love you more than words can say and fall harder for you each day.”
Lily and Nic are among the children of legendary musician Phil Collins. Lily is Phil’s daughter with actress Jill Tavelman, while Nic and Matthew are his sons with his former wife Orianne Cevey. Phil also shares daughter Joely and son Simon Collins with former wife Andrea Bertorelli.
Lily previously opened up about her close relationship with her siblings, telling The Guardian in 2012 that she was “super close” to all of her half-siblings.
