Beyoncé played hairstylist for Jay-Z before the rap icon took the stage for his milestone anniversary concerts at New York City's Yankee Stadium.

Ahead of his opening performance, concertgoers were shown a behind-the-scenes video featuring the couple sharing a private moment inside the stadium as Beyoncé shaved Jay-Z's hair into a shorter style.

The clip offered fans a rare glimpse into the couple's life together before the 56-year-old rapper celebrated 30 years in music.

Jay-Z marked the milestone with two special concerts over the weekend, dedicating one performance to his 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt and another to his 2001 classic The Blueprint.

The new haircut follows another major hair transformation the rapper debuted in June, when he embraced his natural hair texture for the first time in eight years.

The transformation, created in collaboration with Beyoncé's haircare brand Cécred, involved combing out his locs over six days with help from celebrity hairstylist Letisia "Lety" Ravelo, Beyoncé and the couple's eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.

In a video released at the time, Beyoncé revealed that Blue Ivy inspired her father's hair journey after struggling with confidence about her own curls as a young child.

"Our daughter was about 5, and she wasn't feeling very confident about her hair at the time," Beyoncé explained. "When she told her father that, it inspired Jay to grow out his hair."

She added that they wanted Blue Ivy to embrace her natural curls, noting that seeing her father's similar hair texture helped reinforce that message.

Beyoncé also said Jay-Z's natural hairstyle became a tribute to his late father, Adnis Reeves.

Family remained at the heart of the celebration during the Yankee Stadium concerts, with both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy making surprise appearances on stage alongside Jay-Z.

The family also recently made headlines at the 2026 Met Gala, where Beyoncé returned to the event for the first time in a decade as a co-chair, accompanied by Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.

While Beyoncé stunned in a crystal-covered Olivier Rousteing gown, Blue Ivy drew praise for her elegant white Balenciaga look, making it another memorable outing for the Carter family.
