Variety reported that the comedy series, which premiered in January, starred Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an aspiring actor hiding his superpowers. He starred opposite Sir Ben Kingsley, who reprised his role as Trevor Slattery. Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest created the series, with Cretton directing the first two episodes and Guest serving as showrunner.
