Selena Gomez, who released a hit single Single Soon a few weeks ago, has opened up about the responsibilities that come with her “heavy” influence.

The Calm Down hitmaker also shared that her emotional recklessness makes things further scarier for her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Selena revealed, “I’ve never really cared about that stuff. I suppose I’m grateful for the platform, and I would love to continue to use it for what I’m able to do, but numbers are just numbers.”

While talking about the influence she exclaimed, “It can be a little heavy.”

“I feel for people, and I think that’s what kind of keeps me in check, to be honest. I think I can be a little reckless with my emotions and having conversations with young people, women who are going through divorces or going through chemo,” the Only Murders in the Building starlet explained.

Selena went on to elaborate that while she understands her role and will always "cherish" it, it can still be "a little scary" for her sometimes.

Taylor Swift’s BFF remarked, “It’s not just about me, and I’m fully aware of that. I will just always cherish it. It’s a big responsibility, though. It’s a little scary.”

Selena Gomez on Artificial Intelligence replacing humans work:

Selena Gomez also candidly talked about her thoughts on Artificial Intelligence (AI) replacing human work recently.

During a dialogue with Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and Thrive Global CEO Arianna Huffington, the 31-year-old actress-singer said, “I don’t think anybody in my field wants to feel like they need to lean on a computer in order to translate their story or what they’re trying to say.”

Though the thought AI “terrifies” Selena but she believes it can never replace human beings.

A week ago, the Rare Beauty founder won MTV Best Afrobeats VMA for hit track Calm Down.
