Meghan Markle shares styling tips with teenage victims after donating clothes
Meghan Markle helps style young teens while volunteering
Meghan Markle took out time to take private "styling lessons" before volunteering for a teen charity, where she helped dress young girls impacted by catastrophic Los Angeles wildfires, as well as donating huge amounts of clothes.
Earlier this week, Marie Claire published an article which featured 14-year-old Avery Colvert, founder of the Altadena Girls Recovery Fund, who revealed that the devastation in Southern California had left her deeply shaken, and wished she knew a way to be helpful.
However, she never expected for the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex and the Archewell Foundation to step in to help.
Meghan, not only donated clothes but also took out time to help styling the youngsters who were affected, and spent hours doing so.
The Duchess took secret lessons to help guide girls in picking outfits, which the founder of Altadena Girls Recovery Fund found quite impressive and said it helped them feel "confident."
Giving insight on her organisation, Avery mentioned, "I felt really bad that I didn’t lose my home because almost everybody I knew lost everything in the fire."
Right after the devastation of the wildfires, she started gathering important items and clothes for local victims and also went on to add skincare items, accessories and make-up to her list of essentials, trying to take care of every possible need or want, even during this tough time.
"We would collect some clothes from whomever will donate and have a little bit of a free fair for one day," she explained.
