Taylor Swift opens up on writing in love with Travis Kelce’s support
Taylor Swift reveals how Travis Kelce inspires her new album 'The Life of a Showgirl'

Taylor Swift’s biggest cheerleader is none other than her fiancé, Travis Kelce. During her BBC Radio 1 interview with Greg James on October 3, the pop superstar opened up about her new record The Life of a Showgirl, and of course, about the NFL star’s enthusiastic support.
1. Travis Kelce Got First Listen
Swift revealed that Kelce was one of the very first people to hear the new album.
“I would play it for him as soon as I would come back from Sweden,” she shared. “I knew that this was the kind of album that he was going to love the most, he’s so supportive of all of it, but he's a real vibes guy.”
2. Swift's Friends Love Kelce
When asked about calling Kelce an “exclamation mark,” Swift doubled down on the description.
“All of my guy friends just want Travis to pick them up and throw them over a roof or throw them in a pool,” she laughed, adding, “Seeing him walk through a door is genuinely a privilege.”
3. Writing Music While In Love
Swift opened up about creating music during her most joyful chapter yet.
“I used to have this dark fear that if I was ever truly happy and free being myself and nurtured by a relationship, what happens if the writing just drys up,” she admitted.
4. The Album’s Origins
Produced with Swedish hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback, The Life of a Showgirl is Swift’s 12th studio album. She first teased it at 12:12 a.m. on August 12, writing on Instagram, “Can I show you something?”
5. Cover Art With Story
The album cover features Swift lying in water wearing a sparkling dress. She told Kelce and his brother Jason on their New Heights podcast, “This represents the end of my night. My show days are the same every single day… and my day ends with me in a bathtub.”
With The Life of a Showgirl now out,Taylor Swift is proving she can thrive both in music and in love, while Travis Kelce happily cheers her on.
