Meghan Markle’s ailing father yet to ‘recover’

Meghan Markle’s ailing estranged father Thomas Markle, who has been hospitalised is reportedly yet to "recover".

For the unversed, the Duchess of Sussex's estranged father was rushed to hospital on earlier this week on Tuesday, December 2, after he was taken gravely ill at his home in the Philippines.

Later on Wednesday, he was in an intensive care unit after undergoing three hours of surgery earlier in the day.

Now Mr. Markle, who will need to undergo a second operation to remove a blood clot, is reportedly still recovering.

In this regard, his son, Thomas Jr told the Daily Mail newspaper, "I went to see Dad today. He is heavily medicated on painkillers and other drugs.

"He is hooked up to all kinds of machines. He's pretty much out of it.

"The doctors say he is stable, which is good news. He is a brave man and a fighter.”

He went on to say, "The whole family is grateful for the outpouring of love and well-wishes from people around the globe, particularly from Britain.

"We thank everyone for their support and ask that you keep sending positive thoughts for Dad's recovery."

In the end, Thomas' eldest daughter Samantha Markle also added, "We are all hoping and praying that Dad pulls through."

The estranged father of Meghan Markle has gone through numerous health issues over the past few years, including a pair of heart attacks.

For the unversed, the Duchess and her father have been estranged since 2018.
