In a bizarre supermarket scare, a woman who allegedly stuffed razor blades bread sold at Walmarts across Mississippi was arrested.

Police in Biloxi say 33-year-old Camille Benson, from Texas, has been charged with attempted mayhem after several reports of sharp objects turning up inside bakery items, AP reports.

She is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $100,000 bond, according to police.

The alarming complaints began on December 5 when a Walmart employee contacted police after a customer claimed to have found a razor blade inside a loaf of bread. More reports followed on December 8 and in the days after, including claims that razor blades had been discovered in muffins.

Investigators said store staff later found signs of tampering, with blades appearing to have been pushed into the bread from the outside.

Surveillance images released by police showed Benson leaving a Walmart store, and she was later named a person of interest. Officers arrested her on Tuesday after receiving a tip of her location.

Police said they have not yet established a motive.
