Shawn Mendes celebrates New Years with gratitude: 'looking forward'

Shawn Mendes geared up for New Years by spending time in nature, surfing in water and riding a dune buggie in the woods.

The 25-year-old singer and songwriter took to his official Instagram account to upload a carousel of videos and pictures, providing insights into how he spent his New Year’s Eve.

The Treat You Better singer manifested "Pura Vida" which is Spanish phrase for "Pure Life" captioning his post, “Pura Vida!!!! Happy New years!! I’m so looking forward to this year! grateful grateful grateful.”

Shawn can be seen posing in his signature nose scrunch, wearing swimming boxers and carrying a surfboard in one hand. 

In the uploaded video, Shawn can be seen sitting on a bike with one of his friends in the woods, where the artist seemed to have an intimate outing with his loved ones.

Another video, with Shawn behind the lens showed his rumored girlfriend, Charlie Travers, riding a dune buggie with another friend, who was driving the vehicle.

“You look hot, you guys look hot,” Shawn commented as Travers and the friend were looking at him.

The last picture in the carousel shows the Stitches singer all smiles with a closer look at his surfboard, which was stained by sand, suggesting that he must have spent his evening surfing in the tides.

Shortly after the post, fans shared words of praises and happy wishes for the artist, with one fan noting, “I love the way he scrunches up his nose. He’s totally Shawn Mendes!” 

While another commented, “Y’ALL HE’S THRIVINGGGG!!!”

Many fans also expressed their wish for a new album as one fan wrote, “manifesting 2024 brings us a new shawn album.”

“Boy get in the STUDIO,” another fan penned.
