Tim Daly fell for Téa Leoni in just minutes on set ‘Madam Secretary’ set
The 'Outsider' star also recalls what people said about their chemistry
Tim Daly opened up about his crush on his co-stars and how he fell in love with the actress after seeing her in the show.
In a candid interview with LifeMinute, he revealed that when he realized he was in love with his co-star.
“God, about four minutes after I met her at the office of Madam Secretary,’ he said, recalling their first meeting on set in 2014.
The pair, who quietly tied the knot in an intimate New York ceremony this July, played husband and wife Henry and Elizabeth McCord across six seasons of the CBS drama.
Moreover, the Outsider star also talked about what people said about their chemistry.
“Every time people said we had great chemistry, I was like, ‘Yeah, no s---!’” he laughed, remembering the way the cast and crew tried to keep their budding romance low-key during that first year.
The Diner actor also recalled that he’d once asked Tea to marry him, but the moment didn’t seem right for the question.
“I actually asked Téa to marry me, I think, about nine years ago”, but the timing wasn’t right.
“She said, ‘Yes, let's just wait a minute.’ Then nine years later, she asked me,” he said with a smile. “So anyway, we got it done. I like being married to Téa.”
