Boredom is lack of intellectual stimulation or maybe lack of certain kind of attention. It may be sensual or maybe deeper friendships.

Just as we need to find ways to help our kids out of boredom we must find a way out for us. There could be a variety of ways, rekindling friendships, new projects, new jobs, yoga and many more.

Here are some of the tips to fight boredom:

There are some tedious, unenjoyable things we need to get through our daily life but if neglect these responsibilities their presence in the back of the mind can create a cloud of anxiety and woe that will hang over you, one helpful tool is to practice ‘five-minutes rule’ something that takes less than 5 minute complete the task and it will make you less bored.

CHASE YOUR SPARK

Everyone has something which sparks them which they love to do ,it could be talking to someone on the phone ,taking extra nap time or having coffee. Find the thing that interests you and do that more often. Reset your mood with a relaxing activity.

LEARN SOMETHING NEW

When you learn a new skill or a course your mind stops wandering. You no longer become anxious. A new skill uplifts your mood and keeps boredom at bay. Be it some recreational modality or a skill, you need to start somewhere.

INVOLVE YOURSELF MORE WITH THE KIDS

Be into their world, enjoy what they are doing and play some games with them. Sit and paint with them and let your creativity run wild. You may find some moments of laughter with the kids.

DO SOME SOCIALIZING

You could go out with your friends for a movie. You could go out for a spa, for a chit chat session. You could learn painting or yoga or you could do Zumba online or offline and cheer yourself up. Make small travel plans to escape and rejuvenate.

MIX UP YOUR ROUTINE

It’s true that most babies and toddlers respond best to routine. But mixing up your schedule a bit doesn’t destroy this. Organizing different activities or social outings can give you something different to look forward to and help kick that groundhog to the curb.

TRY AN EXERCISE CLASS WITH A CRÈCHE

Pre-children it was hard to associate the gym with ‘down time’. However, this changes once you become a parent. Finding a gym that has a good crèche can be a lifeline for both your sanity and catching a break. Plus, it doesn’t do your little one any harm to learn to be without you for a bit.
