The former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her partner Clarke Gayford recently exchanged vows in a dreamy intimate wedding ceremony.

After an engagement lasting almost five years and an initial cancellation due to a pandemic, the couple officially tied the knot on January 13, 2024, at Craggy Range Winery.

The ceremony took place under a canopy of trees, witnessed by a gathering of approximately 50 to 75 attendees, as reported by the news site Stuff.

In the newly released official wedding images, Jacinda Ardern, renowned globally for her left-leaning politics, is captured beaming in a white halter-neck dress. Her partner, Clarke Gayford, complements her attire in a sharp black suit.

Post-ceremony, the newlyweds, Ardern and Gayford, were spotted mingling with guests, setting the stage for the upcoming reception.

As reported by the New Zealand Herald, attendees at the wedding included opposition leader Chris Hipkins, who succeeded Ardern as the prime minister.

The wedding plans for Ardern, aged 43, and Gayford, aged 47, were initially set for early 2022, following their engagement in May 2019. However, due to the pandemic, they had to reschedule the ceremony.

Ardern, a global symbol for women in leadership since assuming the role of prime minister in 2017, delivered her farewell speech in January of the previous year. During this emotional moment, she expressed to Gayford, a New Zealand television presenter, the desire to finally tie the knot.

For the unversed, Jacinda Ardern held the position of New Zealand's prime minister for over five years.

In January of 2023, she declared her resignation from public office, expressing that “enough in the tank” to continue in her role.
