Meghan Markle finally ‘reaches out’ to estranged father after life threatening situation

Meghan Markle has finally reached out to his estranged father, Thomas Markle, who recently faced a life-threatening situation.

The Duchess of Sussex, as reported by US Weekly, contacted her 81-year-old ailing father, whose left leg was amputated in an emergency surgery on Friday, December 5.

“I can confirm she has reached out to her father,” a spokesperson for the 44-year-old duchess confirmed.

Her contact with Mr. Markle comes a day after he lost his leg below the knee after undergoing a three-hour, life-saving surgery in the Philippines.

Earlier, Thomas was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, December 2, after suffering a medical emergency at home.

He was moved to a larger hospital in Cebu the following day, where he required surgery after a blood clot cut off circulation and turned his lower leg black.

It’s worth mentioning here that Meghan Markle has been estranged from her father since her 2018 wedding after he was caught staging paparazzi photos in the run-up to the big day.

Thomas Markle, in the past, had expressed disappointment and sadness over the situation, hoping to reconcile with his daughter so his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, could meet their cousins
