Kate Middleton establishes ‘confident’ approach as the face of monarchy’s future
Sources claim Kate Middleton ‘knows exactly what suits her and what doesn’t’
Kate Middleton is not worried about the lack of a stylist, with sources and experts reporting that she may never appoint the role again and why.
Following the departure of the longtime staffer who also performed duties as her stylist, Natasha “Tash” Archer, earlier this year, the future queen is taking charge of her own wardrobe.
“Kate has always been very involved in choosing her outfits for royal engagements, but now she is so confident, she knows exactly what suits her and what doesn’t,” a royal insider recently told PEOPLE.
While Bethan Holt, The Telegraph’s fashion director, claimed, “I do think we are seeing a delineation between day-to-day, less remarkable outfits with these big wow moments — like the gold Phillipa Lepley dress she wore to the state dinner with Trump.”
In the latest report, one common pastime favoured by the Princess of Wales has also emerged — online shopping.
“Kate has always loved shopping online and spends a lot of time researching brands that are meaningful,” the magazine’s source shared. “She chooses looks and often keeps them until just the right moment before she wears them. She’s not interested in trends; it’s about what she feels comfortable in and the messaging.”
The mother-of-three’s latest choice has sparked speculations about what she would opt for once she takes centre stage in the monarchy’s future, with the insider stating that “when she does become queen, then there might be a need to hire someone with a more formal dresser role.”
However, there is a feeling that Kate Middleton would follow the currently personal approach to her style, with no “splashy announcement” about a stylist expected to follow even when her husband ascends to the throne.
